Healthy relationships with your family, friends, intimate partners, coworkers, and, above all, with yourself, are the foundation of our well-being.
I received a Master's Degree in psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. Following that, I completed my training at Valley Community Counseling Clinic, one of the most respected applied training clinics in psychoanalytic technique in Los Angeles. This comprehensive training encompassed foundational concepts of psychodynamic theory, contemporary approaches to complex trauma & PTSD, couples & partnerships therapy, and LGBTQ+ affirming therapy. Additionally, I am trained in somatic techniques, as I believe the body expresses what the mind can't always articulate. Listening for both facilitates an integrated understanding that honors both your intellectual insights and your embodied wisdom, often uncovering truths that thinking alone can't access.
I bring rich multicultural experience to our work. Having lived and worked in Europe, Asia, and America, I have a firsthand understanding of how culture influences every aspect of life and the therapeutic process. My clients come from diverse backgrounds, and together we explore how their cultural experiences, among other factors, shape the way they perceive themselves and navigate the world. Many of my clients are queer, I believe that identity influences how we experience the world in significant ways, however, it's rarely the only aspect that brings you to therapy.
I work with people facing both everyday struggles and more complex psychological challenges, including serious relationship difficulties, complex trauma and PTSD, sexual identity and coming-out concerns, immigration and cultural transitions, workplace stress and burnout, anxiety and depression, and feeling lost or stuck in life. Whether you're experiencing panic attacks, struggling with intimacy, processing major life changes, or feeling disconnected from yourself, we can explore what's driving these experiences and work toward meaningful change.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent over a decade in corporate environments, working my way from individual contributor to VP, leading a large team at a tech company. This experience gives me a nuanced understanding of the challenges corporate professionals face at each career stage, particularly how work impacts personal life. I've observed in myself and my clients that workplace challenges often have deeper roots in our everyday relational patterns. Everything is interconnected. By untangling these connections, not only does your relationship with work improve, but healing extends into all areas of life.
Couples and partnership work holds a special place in my practice. I was always the kid quietly watching how adults interacted, captivated by the subtle dynamics that shaped their connections. In many ways, I've been training to be a relationship therapist my whole life. I find deep fulfillment in helping partners move beyond the patterns of hurt and disconnection that leave them feeling like roommates rather than lovers. Together, we explore what keeps couples stuck in cycles of conflict or distance, and work to restore the trust, intimacy, and genuine affection that originally brought them together. Whether you're struggling with communication, navigating infidelity, exploring non-monogamy, or simply feeling like you've lost your way as a couple, my approach focuses on understanding the deeper dynamics at play and creating space for authentic reconnection.
One of the most important insights from my own inner work is that healthy relationships with family, friends, intimate partners, coworkers, and, above all, with yourself, are the foundation of our well-being. This is why my approach places relational dynamics at the center of our work together. Each person's work is unique because your challenges are uniquely yours, so the tools we use are tailored accordingly. My foundational orientation is psychodynamic, meaning we don't just address surface issues. We explore your past experiences and how you respond to situations as they unfold in the present to reveal the unconscious beliefs that guide your life.
The most powerful tool in this work is the relationship we develop together. The patterns you find yourself in with others will inevitably show up between us too. What's different is that instead of getting stuck in those familiar dynamics, we have the opportunity to experience something genuinely new. When you feel truly seen and understood in a relationship, perhaps for the first time—something shifts at a deep level. It's not just intellectual understanding or willpower that creates change, though both matter. The experience of being met differently allows your nervous system to relax old defenses and opens space for new ways of being to emerge naturally.
